If you’re flirting with the idea of painting with some vivid hues, but need some design reassurance, try out the color simulator at the Benjamin Moore Paint Co. website. There you can select any of their paint swatches, pick a room type (living room, bedroom or exterior) and with a click of your mouse, see the room in that hue. It won’t have your furniture or your lighting, but since there are enough options to approximate various architectural styles, the exercise is still very helpful. So go and have some effortless fun before you hit the paint store. The lesson to take away is that the mid range hues (colors) are usually more intense that you expect, so lighter is probably better.
